They had such a great opportunity to make possible what could have easily been the best anime but they did everything wrong. Everybody seems to love him while in the contrary he should have his allies and have his enemies. Really? I was hoping for some action, some gore, something that actually makes sence for what the story is and what it's suppose to stand for.
One day at Contastia Harbor he meets a whimsical traveler named Yunan. Time has passed and Sinbad has grown to be a young man who is now 14 years old.
Five years later, he saves the life of a merchant and his legend begins. They made his dungeons adventures seem like a video game world where once the monster is defeated they just pixalate. Sinbad, a boy with magic powers, is born to Esra and Badr on a stormy night. It's like the whole world revolves around him and anything he wants he can take cause of "yellow faries" that fly around him. They made him into a perfect being that nothing can bad can affect him and i mean nothing. He himself is a lucky charm but his adventures had a more dark side then this anime shows. Personally I have a problem where once I start watching a season I just have to finish it wether I love it or hate it. I could go on but the first season of this anime bored me so much, that I will just stop here as I stopped watching.There are a million reasons to why this show does not deserve the current 4.4 ratings that it has. sorry but if I wanted that I would go to business school. The rest is non existent or rushed character development, non relatable characters, and talk about creating a trading empire. Sinbad is similar, there is promise of epic battles with Djin Powers etc, that always only takes up a very small part of any episode. What is it with these anime and being so into "trading"? Like that one with the wolf goddess.I thought I would see some fun banter between an out of touch god and a human, but no its was all about market value of coins and such. OMG its so terrible. This is not that! This Anime has the same problems as many anime that try to adapt "classic" stories that weren't meant for anime.
Take a ridiculous, totally insane premise, and adapt it into an over the top, fun as hell spectacle. Anime can do something few other media can do (well).
